In light of the war on Ukraine, the Global Shapers Vienna started a “Turn down the Heat!” campaign, which soon was started by a lot of other organisations, individuals and companies and raised awareness about the impact that one can have by turning down the heat in their house.

We know that the EU is dependent on Russian gas. 40% of the natural gas (as of March 2022), came from Russia. As EU citizens we paid more than 50 Billion EUR directly to Russia. With every degree of room temperature less, you use 6% less energy and thus natural gas.
